The R.Y.S.E Movement Story

I have been helping people in some way for over 12 years!

I started cutting my teeth as a Restaurant Manager, running a $2.2m business with 5 managers and 65 staff producing some phenomenal KPI's for that business.

My next step in business was an inevitable one into Personal Training. I've known I wanted to be some kind of health and wellness coach since I was 15 years old.

My life's purpose is to help end generational trauma so that as fathers we are leaving a powerful legacy in the world that our children and their children can inherit from us to DO, BE, HAVE & EXPERIENCE ANYTHING THAT THEY CHOOSE!

I have studied many forms of nutrition, training, psychology, hypnosis, meditation, breathwork, business in order to become your unreasonable best friend in life.

I have a passion for helping people remove the BS excuses they hold themselves back by.

Stop sitting back & wasting time, become who you could become by booking in a discovery session.

I have been training with Dave as my PT for about 15 months. I was in the process of a lifestyle change, lose weight, and get fit etc. and joining a gym was the next step in my journey. Joining a gym is easy, however, for someone like me who had never set foot in a gym before knowing what to do is not so easy. Thankfully PTDave got me heading in the right direction and has helped me achieve goals I had set for myself through nutrition education and a training program to suit my needs.

In this time training with Dave, I have lost over 25kg and am the strongest, fittest, and feel the healthiest I have ever been in my adult life. It hasn't all been easy, but through setbacks and hurdles I have had the support and encouragement from Dave keep going. Dave’s knowledge in nutrition and being able to educate me in better eating habits has been invaluable. He is regularly assessing and modifying my dietary intake as is needed. Team this up with a training plan to suit my needs, which is continually evolving as my body does, and we have a winning formula. Dave knows when to push, and when to support me in our sessions which gets the best out of me.

The journeys not over yet, and with Dave’s help I have been able to set higher goals that I would not have even contemplated 12 months ago. My life and how I live it day to day has taken 180* turn for the better, and Dave has been a large influence in this. Thankyou Dave.

I had trained for a long time with very little aesthetic results before I started training with Dave.
I was fit as F%$K but couldn’t loose the weight that I wanted.

After 2 years of weekly training and advice I managed to loose over 15kgs and I am maintaining the weight with no problems.

Its more about how you approach your eating and training, than just how long you can run on the treadmill.

Dave helped me understand what my body does with its food, how it effects your energy levels and training as well as learning tips and tricks to make it easier.
More than someone that tells you how to push weights, I would say a lifestyle coach is more accurate.

Formally 95-100kgs, living life at 80-85kgs no diet just common sense.

I’ve done heaps of gym/cardio/fitness/diets in the past and I always had a lot of determination, however, lacked the motivation.  I just seemed to get overwhelmed after a short period of time and then I felt stuck.

After completing some online research and having got myself back on track after some of life’s pretty harsh “reality checks”, I decided to head along to a gym on the Gold Coast with the intention to find myself a Personal Trainer who could kick me in the ‘ass’.  I walked into the gym and was welcomed by the lovely staff – filled in a membership and also asked about Personal Trainers.  I filled in the questionnaire and was advised that a Personal Trainer would contact me for a free session…….that was back in 2016 and the rest is history.

On the 23rd June, 2016 I received that message “…..Hey there it’s Dave from ****Gym…..Just wondering if you’re interested in your free PT sessions…..?

The journey began with Coach Dave Kerestesi.  Not only as a Personal Trainer – Dave has been a Coach, a Mentor, a Friend, a living version of Google regarding health, diet, nutrition AND not to mention his knowledge of the human body and brain science.

In the 7 years I have been training with Dave he has had to deal with understanding my head, my body, my love of alcohol and fine dining, my job, my hormones, my age, my broken bones, my surgeries………he’s endured it all.

Dave is a ‘one stop shop’ who I choose to speak with and ask questions with regards to absolutely anything to do with the workings of my body, mind and overall wellbeing.

THANK YOU Dave……………I am super-grateful for all you do.  You are a real life "Super Hero"  Here’s to the next 7 years!!

Having known Dave for almost 7 years now through his personal training and now through Jiu Jitsu training, i would consider him to be one of the most influential people in my recent life.
Dave was someone who helped me overcome some major limitations, both psychological and physical at a time when i most needed it. His ability to connect and relate is rare and despite our age difference with Dave being 25 years younger than me, it has never been a barrier.
Dave is now someone who i know without doubt can be trusted and relied upon to follow through with what he says he is going to do and he is one of the most dedicated and passionate people to any commitment he chooses to take on. Perhaps the most admirable trait of Dave’s is his ability to excel at what he loves, whether it be his family, career or chosen hobbies and past times.
The people who come into contact with Dave know this and also respect this and this makes Dave someone to be reckoned with.

Dave came into my life at such a pivotal time. I'd spent the better part of a decade letting my health and fitness deteriorate, getting to the largest weight I had ever been. At the age of 36, I made the life changing decision to join the gym and turn my life around, but although I possessed the motivation and determination, I lacked the tools. Enter Dave, his guidance on correcting my exercise techniques while using the gym, accompanied with an understanding of macros and food intake, made such a difference. While I built muscle and lost fat, I saw the scales tick over to numbers I hadn't seen since my early 20s. He not only became my coach in the gym, but also in life. Having someone to talk to when the worlds little hiccups, drained that motivation to keep pushing forward, became invaluable to have.

I came to Dave with two main goals, one was to increase my fitness and body tone. The other was to be able to advance my skills in calisthenics which I initially thought I wouldn't be able to do. But, through Dave's professional and individually tailored guidance and advice, I was able to achieve both of these goals!

When I got into going to the gym I wanted to lose weight and tone up, but had no idea as I've never been a gym person. Dave Kerestesi was recommended to me by a close friend. We sat down together and spoke about what I wanted to achieve and the time frame to get it done along with a few more in-depth questions and answers. Dave wrote up weight and nutritional programs to suit my goals and changed them up from time to time. I would train once a week with Dave and 4 days I would train with my wife, plenty of times I would show up and not be in the mood and Dave always had the right words to get me in the mood, boost my spirits and self-esteem. Dave always pushed me to my limits and new where the limits were. I reached my goal under the time frame we spoke about and continue to lose weight. Dave has great knowledge in all aspects of personal training in both weights and nutrition. Dave's given me great advice not only in the gym and building a personal relationship adive on life in general.
